A Styled Elopement in Oahu, Hawaii
If the idea of running off to get married on the sandy shores of Oahu, Hawaii wasn’t romantic enough. Today’s styled shoot is inspired by the famous kiss in the 1953 movie ‘From Here to Eternity’.
Our bride and groom cozied up on the shores of Halona Cove in their formal wear, including a bridal bouquet made from tropical colored blooms by Oahu floral designer Passion Roots. Our bride Lauren donned a flowy Sophia bridal gown with a deep V neck and sheer overlay accented by floral patterned embroidery, her groom Josh wore a crisp black suit to stand out against the backdrop of mossy caves and ocean waves.
It is the epitome of an epic romance, and as soon as I found the location where that scene was filmed I knew I had to shoot an epic elopement styled shoot there. With the help of some incredibly talented Oahu wedding vendors, we created our own version of the magic that happened there in 1953, except this time in a gorgeous Sophia gown from Love and Lace – Svetlanta of Svetlana Sauer Photography
