Deeana’s desire to serve the wedding industry began shortly after her own wedding and she’s been turning clients into friends ever since! Ok, Deeana! Spill the beans, tell us everything about you!!!
I’m a natural light photographer located just outside Charlotte, NC. I am a wife to my amazing husband Allen, and a dog mom to the sweetest pup Braxton. These two guys help make my life complete. As you look around you’ll notice that Allen comes along to most of my sessions, as he also has a passion for photography- and he is the second half to Deeana Kourtney Photography.
Allen and I moved to North Carolina in 2006 from New Jersey. It took a little while to get used to the slower paced lifestyle, but I am happy to say we grew to love it here in North Carolina and have made a wonderful life and home for ourselves here with our friends and family surrounding us. I love warm sunny days relaxing on the beach or at the pool, and I also love cool, crisp days hiking alongside a mountain (we’re lucky to have the best of both world here in North Carolina). We love dogs- they are ALWAYS welcomed and encouraged at your session! I love sipping on a refreshing glass of white wine, while chatting with friends and I love visiting all the vineyards around NC.
We are here for you on your wedding day, we want your day to go as smooth as possible. Need someone to grab you coke? Allen is your guy. Need someone to help put in your Veil? I’m your girl. You name it, we’ve got it covered. I can’t wait for you to join our family and also gain a friend!

What fueled you to begin your wedding photogrpahy business?
After my own wedding in 2011 I decided I wanted to be a part of someone else’s special day, and help them create memories while having a tangible form to always look back on.
What is the biggest corner mark of the Deeana Kourtney Photography experience?
I’m not looking for just a pay check, I’m looking to make a difference in people’s lives while building life lasting relationships.
What is your biggest ‘I live for this’ moment when working with your clients?
Being comfortable with me is so important. I want all Brides and Grooms to feel comfortable in front of the camera, and when you relax and realize I’m just a friend hanging out with you with my camera – the whole experience changes and the fun happens.
What is something that you always have ‘on hand’ while you are working?
I always have extra bobby pins!
