Lighthouse Bridal & Letterpress Design Fort Lauderdale

Stepping into a bridal salon should feel like floating on a cloud. I recently ‘floated’ into Lighthouse Bridal & Letterpress Design in Fort Lauderdale and it was definite cloud status.

Wedding dress shopping will be one of the first (out of many) items on your wedding planning checklist. It is so important to find a bridal salon that fits your bridal style, makes you feel like family, and gives you that one-on-one experience.

I caught up with Megan, the owner of Lighthouse Bridal and I loved what she had to say about her brand, see my Q&A with her below:

‘Who’ is Lighthouse Bridal and Letterpress?:

We’re a husband and wife duo that love the craft and the art of beautiful things. The craft of hanging a gown that was made in the garment district of New York City and the art of ink being sandwiched together between a letterpress plate and pillowy paper that will invite your family and friends to the most memorable day of your life.
When should a bride begin shopping for her perfect wedding gown?:
We recommend that you begin shopping for your dress at least 8-12 months before your wedding, as it can take up to 4-6 months for your gown to arrive. We also suggest giving yourself an extra 3-6 weeks for alterations leading up to your wedding date
Who is the “Lighthouse Bridal Bride?:
A #LHBRealBride is a cool bride. She loves tradition and the thought of marrying her best friend, but she also wants to stay true to herself and her own personal style on her wedding day. We are geared towards an effortless, alternative bride here at Lighthouse.
What designers can brides expect to find at your shop?:
Daughters of Simone, Noel & Jean by Katie May, Stone Fox Bride, Alexandra Grecco, Sarah Janks, Anais Anette, Tatyana Merenyuk and Rebecca Schoneveld
What are some common misconceptions brides usually have when wedding dress shopping?:
That it’s uncomfortable and rules driven! Here at Lighthouse, we have no rules. We treat you like family and truly care about your big day.
What is the importance of shopping at a local bridal salon versus a larger chain?:
If you’re a shop small kind of gal, you turn to places like Etsy and local fleas/art walks, we’re the shop for you. We’re a small, by appointment only boutique that offers a one-on-one bridal experience to each and every girl that walks into the door.
