Miami Wedding Feature | Addy & Luis

The honor of your presence is requested at the wedding of Addy & Luis.

We’ve partnered up with Amber at Oh My! Occassions  again to bring you today’s post which features a real wedding with a stylish Miami couple.

Amber says of the couple:

Adneris “Addy” and Luis were teenage sweethearts and best friends. When they were ready to start planning for “I Do” they approached me with modern, sleek style. The wedding took place at the JW Marriot Marquis in Miami, and instead of using their ballroom, we transformed the entire 19th floor basketball court into a clean, sexy, white fairytale. After draping the entire room, acrylics and mixed metallics accented the tables and ceremony space. The two danced on a “twinkle” LED dance floor that changed colors and movement based on the music. Fogged acrylic structures were up lit with purples, providing almost a futuristic vibe. Cocktail hour featured a giant grass wall with custom made escort card frame. (An example of the vision-turned reality. My team made it happen!) The couple did a twist on tradition. Addy really wanted to see the surprise on Luis’s face when she walked down the aisle, but for photography and timing purposes, it was easier if they did a “first look” before ceremony. To give them the best of both worlds, I had the ceremony setup complete hours ahead of time so the first look could still take place while she walked down her aisle. The couple has two small boys, so they did a “first look” with their sons as well. Their ceremony structure doubled as a backdrop for their cake. Their first dance was a slowed cover of “Take Over Control” by Afrojack; the original “club” song being one they danced to when they first met. The invitation was a custom made screenprint on acrylic. Everything about their wedding was modern and sleek, while still retaining some elegance and tradition- a perfect description of the couple themselves.

Addy’s sense of style is elegant and sleek, from her Badgley Mischka shoes to her spin on the traditional mantilla veil.

I love how the couple incorporated this years emerging trend of mixed metallics and made it their own by keeping it sleek and modern all while maintaining that cool Miami vibe. Amber and her team managed to totally transform the space at the JW Marriot Marquis in Miami with gold tablescapes, acrylic fixtures, crisp linens and creamy florals to create a swoon worthy South Florida Wedding.
