Katelyn & Evan get married in a minty green summer celebration at the Womans Club of Portsmouth! They *technically* met on FaceBook and they have a super sweet story about a two-hour break up that ends with a fortune that shows up for their wedding day pictures, and we have the evidence!
Sweet southern elegance makes its way into all of the details and decor of our bride and grooms wedding day!! Katelyn’s bridesmaids carried bouquets made out of nothing but elegantly designed baby’s breath and donned floor length mint green bridesmaids gowns while Katelyn wore a sweetheart A-line bridal gown with simplistically styled embroidery and embellishments!
Can we talk about the ceremony set up for a minute?!
Glistening hardwood floors in a lofty venue that is filled to the brim with white folding chairs and #allthenaturallight! Trust us that it’s as gorgeous as it sounds! If that weren’t enough, two rose gold chandeliers with strings of cafe lighting hang high above the guests seating and made for the perfect aerial view photo captured by their Virginia Wedding photographer Ryan Winn Photography!
Evan reached out to Katelyn that they had mutual friends from school. They began talking and texting all summer. Three days before school started they finally met each other and started dating. When Katelyn was telling me their story she shared that about six months after they started dating they broke up for about 2 hours. They obviously ended up working everything out, but with a little bit of fate that spoke to Evan’s heart. Evan got a fortune cookie that same day, and it said ” Treasure what you have. ” He knew that Katelyn and he were meant to be, and with a little faith made a phone call to her that changed everything. What is SO special about this little back story is that to this day Evan keeps the fortune in his wallet, and they brought it with them for me to use in their wedding photo details – Ryann Winn Photography

It’s clear that Katelyn and Evan have made a family for themselves with the loving bridal party who spent the day by their sides and popped all the confetti over the newlywed couple with smiles and cheering galore after the couple said I do!
