Surfing the net, combing through wedding blogs, magazines, and attending bridal shows, all while daydreaming about the perfect dress. Perhaps, there is a designer you have had your eye on. Maybe, you have even started shopping for your wedding gown.
There are over 175 social media platforms to choose to from. However, Pinterest is a perfect platform to explore to find amazing designers, and wedding gowns. Blushing brides always want a wedding gown that brings out their style!
Utilizing Pinterest – Pinterest is a free social media platform
- Download it to your tablet, ipad, or smartphone device.
- Set up the account, create a log-in, and password.
- Create virtual boards (and even secret boards!), and pin, and re-pin
No worries there are step by step instructions provided, on how to navigate through Pinterest. Pinterest, the social media platform full of “eye candy” it’s a bride’s playground. Anyone that has been on Pinterest knows how much fun it can be. Pages and pages of inspiration!
Find the designer via Pinterest – Finding a designer who can accommodate creating your gown is a click away. As a bride you may log onto Pinterest and put in the wide array of designers in the search bar. Follow the designers custom hashtag as well. Type in keywords, and designer names, and the style of the gown.
Find a wedding gown via Pinterest – Think about what inspired your wedding colors, styles, or theme. Another tip is to think about the style of the venue, you can find a dress that reflects that style! On Pinterest you will have the opportunity to scroll through tons of gowns. Create a board, pin all the gown styles you love. You may show that board to your planner, bridal stylist, or local bridal salon. Perhaps, you may like a style of two, to three gowns. Opt to have the gown custom made by one of your favorite wedding designers, the designer can pull elements together and custom design it to compliment your body shape.

The two best times of the year to find a designer that compliments your bridal style: New York’s Spring and Fall Bridal Market. The Bridal Market is a bi-annual event that occurs during New York Bridal Fashion Week. All the amazing wedding dress designers come from around the world and display their couture gowns on the runway; and fashion shows. This is the Perfect opportunity to get a peek of the new bridal fashion a year in advance. I have attended this event and it’s nothing short of amazing.
