What is Your Bridal Style?

So you have an everyday style but what is your bridal style?

Your bridal style might not be anything like your everyday style! In fact, many brides opt to go the complete opposite direction for their wedding day look. Here are a few fun scenarios to help you decipher the bridal style that best suites your desire.

Do you dream of donning a flower crown and flowly, or lacy layers on your big day? Can’t see what all the hype is about on bejeweled shoes? You might be a ‘boho’ (bohemian) bride! A boho bride will feel most comfortable in a gown she views as ‘down to earth’ and doesn’t necessarily feel the need to fuss with a veil.

Is the most exciting part of your wedding experience getting in to the salon to try on gowns by all the hottest new bridal designers? Have you been scouring high end department stores for that perfect pair of ‘street’ footwear to pair with your gown, or do you have chunky statement necklaces or an arm party that you’ve cooked up before even deciding on your gown? Hello there trendy bride! A trendy bride will be excited to infuse ‘what’s hot now’ into her wedding day wear.

So maybe layers of jewelry aren’t for you and you’ve always pictured your wedding day with something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue? Your dress is the one handed down through generations and paired with borrowed jewelry. You want to carry on your family’s tradition and anything outside of that is just not within your comfort zone. You bridal style is ‘traditional’

But wait! Screw tradition! I want to rock purple locks, a leather jacket and my own unique point of view on my wedding day!! Your bridal style could be considered ‘rock and roll’ or ‘artsy’. A rock and roll bride has a cool edge and doesn’t feel the need to fit into any type of bridal (or everyday) norm.

Daydreaming of arriving to your ceremony in a white carriage on a red carpet in a larger than life ball gown fit for a British Royal? Does your daydream of a look include a diamond encrusted tiara or upper length gloves? You are a total Princess Bride! This is your big day and you want all eyes on you and your larger than life look!

Be Inspired

While the above scenarios are the most extreme of each style and purely to get your mind pumping in one direction, you may find that mixing aspects from each bridal style to create your own is what truly works best for you!!
