Celebrate Marie & Mike’s 1950s themed 60th wedding anniversary celebration at The Don Cesar with details galore!
It is truly rare that we get to celebrate such a milestone at So This Is Love Blog and I for one could not hit ‘publish’ fast enough! Marie & Mike celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with all of the 1950s nostalgia you could ever possibly dream of! Snack foods galore, flower arrangements shaped like ice cream sundaes, a yo yo station and Elvis renewing the couples sweet wedding vows.
My favorite detail? The bride donned HOT PINK sparkly Keds with poodle embroidered bobby socks! Between the vow renewals and the couples ‘first dance,’ this feature is going to give you some serious ‘awwww’ moments.
Their daughter Donna as the mastermind behind this beautiful and memorable night, their guests started to arrive and boy were they hip! This 50’s themed party had all the glitz and glamour of the time, poodle skirts, chiffon scarfs, vintage jeans, red lipstick and lots of rock and roll… The honorable couple also arrived in style in an All-American LaSalle vintage car. There was a candy shop, a milkshake bar, yo yo’s, classic hula hoops and each table included a glazed chocolate flower arrangement topped with sprinkles.
Believe it or not! There was even a surprise appearance. YES! Elvis was in the building! He officiated and declared the couple with their unique vows {in 50’s themed music lyrics, of course} From the vintage picture props to the cake to the retro diner backdrop, this bash was alive with laughter and love. – Limelight Photography
