This styled shoot has everything you could ever ask for if you are going Boho Chic for your elopement!
Our beautiful bride’s wedding day ready ensemble is full of vintage Boho details and her entire look (flowers included) was put together for less than $200!!! No, that wasn’t a glitch, yes there are only 2 zero’s in that number!! How was her look put together for this styled shoot you ask? All of our bride-to-be’s jewelry is heirloom jewelry that was passed down to her from her grandmother. Her two-piece bridal gown was styled from a long pleated skirt & a lacy short sleeve top with a DIY belt. The fresh floral crown and wildflower bouquet mix was handcrafted by the wedding photographer using florals from a local grocer – whatttt– talk about skills!
Considering eloping but feel like you are going to miss out on #allthedetails?! You can still have a totally fab wedding day photo shoot that pulls together every aspect of what made your celebration of love so unique. Any seasoned wedding photographer will best be able to work with you on angles, poses, styling, and location. This boho themed elopement was shot in a field of wildflowers during ‘golden hour’ (a photography term that means during sunrise/sunset) by a film photographer. Using only a vintage ivory colored settee as a prop. You can easily see how much impact a touch of just the right details can make your wedding day photos!

This trendy boho styled elopement brings together romantic and vintage elements, perfectly exemplified by 35mm film photography to complete the style. Scroll through these unique images and indulge in the simplicity of an artsy, antique taste.
A beautiful white and gold antique settee was used for bridal portraits in the setting sun. Details of the couple’s outfits were highlighted with golden light and beautiful lens flares. The second location featured a beautiful wildflower field of phlox with willow trees as the cherry on top. The sunset completed the backdrop perfectly with a beautifully colored sky. I don’t know about you, but I absolutely adore the way sunsets look on film. There is just something about the grain and color combinations that have my heart. I started shooting with 35mm Kodak portra 160 and switched to 400 ISO as we lost lighting; you may notice what almost look like stars in some of the sunset images – this is a combination of the beautiful grain of portra 400 and dust spots that I purposefully did not remove in post-processing – Kristin of KMD Photography
