Love rich colored florals and stained glass dream catchers? Nikki & Collin’s Backyard Boho Themed Wedding has both, and we haven’t even made our way to the Espresso station yet!
Picture this, marrying your sweetheart in the backyard of the home they grew up in. Doesn’t that just sound so romantic?! Our bride & groom did just that! Their intimate wedding, with a close-knit guest list of 25 friends and family members, took place at Collin’s childhood home in Owosso, Michigan.
Boho Wedding Day Decor Popped up in Every aspect of Nikki & Collin’s Wedding!!!
One of the many benefits of having your wedding at home or on a private residence is the ability to draw in aspects that are centered in your style, and use decor in a way that tells your love story without the restraint that comes with the contract of many indoor wedding venues. For example – paper confetti tossed from cones as the couple walks down the aisle as husband and wife!
A harpist serenaded Nikki down the aisle while the billowy skirting of her off the shoulder wedding gown ‘floated behind her’, her groom beamed as he awaited her arrival. Their ‘I do’s’ took place under an arbor that was outfitted with trellis’ of lush vibrant florals, and accented by hanging stained glass panels that were chained together.
Our absolute favorite part of how the Bride & Groom Celebrated their day?
Nikki & Collin spend a few quiet moments with one another during their first look to sip champagne, exchange gifts (and a few smooches, naturally!) and to just be present in one another’s company!!
Reception time was stacked with plenty of sweet treats and refreshments including a self-serve espresso bar, an icy cold bucket full of a selection of champagne’s, and slices of cheesecake for guests to enjoy.
No story would be complete without a happy ending; our Bride & Groom were sent off into the night with a sparkler exit from their guests, and of course, their ear-to-ear smiles!
