Randie & Justin’s love story goes all the way back to Middle School gym class; in this Fall & Steampunk Themed Louisville Wedding. A long friendship ensued and soon after High School and Justin’s departure to the Air Force, Randie & Justin found their way back to each other. Within seven months of their renewed friendship & a deep romance – they were engaged!!
Fast forward to the wedding day: it was important to both the bride and groom, as well as their families, that they have a traditional church wedding ceremony, they also included a Celtic handfasting ceremony which is a nod to Randies Scottish & Irish heritage.
Randie & Justin also infused plenty of their personal style into their Louisville wedding. An overall ‘fall’ theme was mixed with cool touches of steampunk decor, seen on their cake table and in the bride’s bouquet. Mismatched china plates were borrowed from the bride’s moms personal collection to tie together the overall theme. Table decor was either a fall flower arrangement put together by the bride. or a centerpiece of lit candles.
The shining elements of the bride and grooms personality didn’t stop with the decor, entertainment artists were added to the reception for guests to enjoy! A caricature artist was hired to draw renderings of the guests, Randie loved the idea of an entertaining element that also doubled as a special keepsake for her guests to remember the occasion. Face Painting was also offered for guests of all ages (including Grandma!)
It all goes down in the bridal suite where Randie gets steampunk glammed with her entourage on hand for a full bridal makeover. Randie went with some major bling for her wedding day (check out her shoes) wearing jewelry that belongs to her grandmother as well as newly purchased pieces. While our bride decided to go with a more traditional white lacy detailed bridal gown, her groom chose a vintage style suit complete with long coat tails and an ascot!
