Rich color and personal touches are abound in this Hot Pink & Navy Nautical Themed Summer Wedding
Kimberly and Jason chose a rich color palette in tones of navy, raspberry/hot pink, and a light coastal blue for their Summer Wedding at The Regency at Dominion Valley in Virginia. The idea for their nautical themed wedding is a nod the bride’s love of spending cherished moments visiting her family’s lake house throughout her childhood. Their venue allowed for an outdoor ceremony on the waterfront where Kimberly was walked down the aisle by her mother. Officiating the wedding ceremony was Jason’s mentor, who personalized their vows with plenty of laughter and even a few tears!!
The lush color palette of Hot Pink & Navy begins in the wedding invitation suite and is used in the florals, attire, and wedding reception decor!
Wedding day photos with the bridal party pack a punch of color!! The bridesmaids all wore hot pink spaghetti strapped floor-length gowns and carried bouquets of mostly white blooms with touches of navy and pink florals tied into the center. Jason and his groomsmen all wore royal blue suits with hot pink boutonnieres and gingham ties that ‘knot’ together all of the colors from the couples chosen wedding day color palette! Kimberly wore a low back, spaghetti strap wedding dress, with a lace overlay and a train worthy of its very own portrait (see below!). Popping out from the bottom of Kimberly’s gown was a pair of stiletto royal blue Badgley Mischka wedding day worthy shoes, with embellished heels covered in sparkly gemstones.
It’s wine o’clock in the bridal suite with gold handpainted, personalized wine glasses for each member of the bridal party!
After the outdoor cocktail hour on the patio of The Regency at Dominion Valley, guests were greeted at the reception with a hand scripted chalkboard sign that listed the menu they would be dining on for the evening. The reception ballroom’s color palette was perfectly suited for the couple’s nautical theme with dark wood floors, the dining tables were covered in navy linens and decor that included white napkins, white lanterns, and clear mason jars filled with flowers in the signature color palette of hot pink, navy, and white. Another amazing personal touch added to their summer wedding decor? each table number was a picture of one of their own dogs or a dog “niece” or “nephew”…awwww!!!
Guests finished the night with sweet treats in the form of wedding cake and a specially made groom’s cake! The wedding cake was a three-tier, coastal blue ombre cake which was frosted to replicate soft waves. Kimberly’s aunt made the grooms cake, which was a replica of Jason’s police uniform (spoiler: it came out awesome!)
Dream Day DJs rocked the night away and kept the dance floor packed with all of Kimberly & Jason’s favorite tunes from 90’s pop to EDM.
