Chicago Elopement | University of Chicago

It’s no secret that we are huge fans of elopements, pop up weddings, and courthouse wedding!! Our Bride & Groom in today’s feature previously held a small wedding and were hoping to have their portraits re-done, that’s when it all came to life! A team of Chicago based wedding professionals set out to prove that eloping in Chicago doesn’t have to leave you staring at an expensive price tag, or leave you feeling like you and your partner ‘missed out’ on an aspect of your wedding day!

Our Bride & Groom were able to enjoy a super sweet picnic on the lawn of the University of Chicago that included a basket for two filled with wine, bread, and an eye poppingly delicious charcuterie board! Their photographer placed their wedding rings near the sumptuous fruit on the charcuterie board for a unique close up shot. Our couple was able to sip win, share smiles, and grab all of those sweet moments as newlyweds in their photo shoot.

The University of Chicago campus is absolutely magical! The moment I saw it, I knew I wanted to do some sort of romantic couples session here. The vision of maroon and gold, a magical dress, and an in-love couple started to come together. A wonderful team of vendors worked together to make this dream a reality. The couple is a real married couple that lives here in Chicago. They had a very small wedding and were not in love with their wedding photos. This was a great way for me to give back to them, and support their beautiful marriage which is what I love to do as a wedding photographer. This was all done with a small budget, to show brides looking into elopements, that they don’t have to break the bank.
