No detail was left unturned in Sarah & Mark’s farmhouse chic summer wedding at Heritage Prairie Farm in Elburn Illinois!! Farm to table food, an adorable vintage style lemonade stand, mix and match patterned china and a custom made ‘our love story’ sign that included all the important dates in Sarah & Mark’s journey to be wed are just a few of the elements that make our bride and grooms wedding so unique!
Our bride and groom took great care to make sure that their guests were comfortable in the summer sun for their outdoor ceremony. A galvanized bucket full of paper parasols was set up for guests wanting a to catch a little shade from the summer sun, a flavored water station full of fresh cut fruit was set up on a lemonade stand (seriously cute!!) to keep everyone hydrated. The outdoor ceremony seating was composed of white farmhouse style folding chairs and the aisle was prepped for Sarah’s grand entrance with hanging mason jars filled with wildflower arrangements.
Sarah’s bridal style was full-on princess inspired!! Our bride chose a full ballgown silhouette by Pronovias complete with a cathedral length veil and a wildflower bouquet enviable for any summer bride. Sarah’s bridesmaids wore floor-length flowy gowns in a blue & gray color palette. Mark and his groomsmen wore chic gray suits with silk ties and wildflower boutonnieres.
Beautifully handwritten vows were exchanged under a giant Oak tree on the grounds of Heritage Prairie Farm and there was not a dry eye left in the house!! After their I do’s Sarah and Mark enjoyed a little alone time in the farmhouse kitchen before being met with a ‘bubble exit’ which led them to the lawn for cocktail hour.
The tent reception was farmhouse chic with vintage style bone china table settings, in mix and match patterns. Long sprawling white tables for family style seating were full of lanterns and mason jars arrangments full of more gorgeous wildflowers!!
Guests dined on goodies galore including chicken and biscuit appetizers, brie and apple mac and cheese at dinner, and a late-night taco bar!!
The goodies didn’t stop there, a coffee station was set up alongside a dessert bar with cake pops, cookie sandwiches, and chocolate covered pretzels. Sarah and Mark’s wedding cake was a two-tier white cake finished with bright colored sugar wildflowers.
