I did a major double take when I laid eyes on this awesome Hawaiian themed wedding set in Fort Lauderdale. I felt like I was transported back to the blue-green shores of Oahu!

A vintage Koa wood bowl, conch shell, and ocean water were set on a table and used to bless the couples wedding rings.
The bride & groom had their lei’s shipped in from Hawaii to perform a traditional lei exchange during their ceremony.
A note from the bride:
“We wanted our wedding day to be carefree and fun. It was important to us for our guests to just enjoy the evening and celebrate our love so we decided to keep the wedding as laid back as possible in order to achieve that.
The wedding was on a Monday evening and we had about 60 guests attend. We chose to do an intimate Hawaiian style beach ceremony and had our guests stand in a circle around us as we said our vows. The bridal bouquet was handmade and we ordered leis from Hawaii for the traditional lei exchange. We used a vintage Koa wood bowl and conch shell for blessing our rings with ocean water, another Hawaiian tradition and closed our ceremony with a Hawaiian prayer.
Our favorite local brewery, Lauderale, hosted our reception and some family and friends helped with decorating the venue the night before. The decor included handmade napkins by the mother of the bride and vintage items collected from local thrift stores. We decided to forgo traditional floral centerpieces and used pineapples and palm leaves collected from neighbors yards the day before. We also brought a lot of items from our own home because we wanted the decor to represent us.
We had the best food truck in Fort Lauderdale, Nacho Bizness, serve our food – tacos of course! Everyone enjoyed being able to go up and get food whenever they wanted and it allowed for more mingling of the guests instead of keeping everyone trapped at their tables. The steel drum player rocked out all night and gave us that “beachy island vibe” we love. We were blessed with beautiful weather so we were able to spend the night dancing outside under the stars. The beer and champagne was flowing all night long, fun was had by all, and a lot of our guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to!”
The new Mr & Mrs, along with their guests, danced the night away to the sounds of the steel drum provided by Xavier Charles of Kool Kasual Entertaiment.
Sealed with a kiss
