After a birthday celebration with a group of close friends, Nathan wisked Heather off to New York City for the weekend where he planned this surprise proposal in Central Park, with Cinder and Co Photography  waiting in the wings to capture each moment.

A note from Heather:

Two and a half years ago Nathan and I met at a bar in Atlanta called “Lost Dog”. He asked for my number that night, texted me a week later & we’ve been inseparable ever since. Hoping to be a testament to finding love via boozy number exchanges!

On Thursday night he threw me a surprise birthday party with all of my friends & the next morning we he stole me away to spend the weekend in NYC.

We woke up Saturday morning (my birthday), went to brunch and then decided to explore one of my favorite spots—Central Park. After wandering around for a little while, we came upon Bow Bridge and it looked so perfect with its backdrop of bright yellow and orange leaves. As we got closer, we saw that an acoustic guitarist was sitting at the base of the bridge playing “Wonderful Tonight” which immediately set a romantic mood. We made our way up the bridge and when we got to the center we stopped to take in how beautiful it was—the city, the leaves, the row boaters. He asked me if I loved it and I said yes—that it was perfect. He said “well it’s a good thing” & then turned to face me & I immediately knew what was happening. He took my hand, got down on his knee & began saying, what I assume, were some of the most beautiful words I have ever heard…unfortunately I don’t remember a word of it. He slipped the most gorgeous ring on my finger, stood up and everyone around us started clapping and cheering. The best part? He had two photographers there to capture the entire thing.

He put so much thought into making not only the proposal, but my entire week, perfect. It was the most magical day of my entire life & I can’t wait to marry the man of my dreams. Best. Birthday. Ever.
