Intimate Vow Renewal in Downtown Pittsburgh

A vow renewal done right in the ‘Strip District’ of downtown Pittsburgh!! Our bride and groom celebrate their love in an intimate, ‘trash the dress style’ ceremony in the Pittsburgh!

We are huge fans of love in the city – especially when it involves formal wear and wedding photos with a graffiti backdrop! Oh, and did we mention that our bride and groom stroll away into their future – hand in hand – past the famous Primanti Brothers?! There are so many subtle but striking touches to the design of this vow renewal that we can’t decide which is our favorite!! Crimped hair in a chic bridal updo, personalized vow books, bride tribe jackets (with sunnies), pops of jewel tones, and an intimate vow renewal ceremony right in the middle of a concrete jungle!!

PS: be sure to peep the flower girl & the ring bearer – cuteness overload!!!

This shoot took place in Downtown Pittsburgh at a place called the “Strip District.” It’s one of the most popular places in the city. We tried to capture the essence of it all, including the raw beauty of the Graffiti, Primanti Brothers, and the 16th Street Bridge. I had friends who really wanted better Wedding Photos, and we turned the whole thing into a Vow Renewal for them. It was really a touching moment since I’ve known Jenny, the Bride, for almost 10 years. The whole gang, myself included, have grown up in this city and love everything about it. We are re-living all of our 80s kids Punky Brewster dreams with Pittsburgh on-site hair and makeup artist Glam to Go‘s chic crimped bridal updo!! Personalized his and hers vow books were handcrafted by This Sunkissed Life, and the bindings were tied together with silky deep purple extra long ribbons. Floral designs by Leaf Hopper Designs in mixed jewel tones included an epic broach bouquet for our bride! Jessica Garda Events coordinated the vow renewal with mix and match style furniture rentals provided by Old Souls Vintage. Videographer Danielle Durbin Film was on site to capture our bride and grooms recommitment ceremony on film, see their full video at the bottom of this post! Personalized bridesmaids boxes filled with ‘bride tribe’ jackets, floral tumblers & matching sunnies were gifted by Citra Lily.
