A Modern Styled wedding overlooking the San Diego Skyline at Coasterra Restaurant!
This bride and groom will melt your heart with their modern wedding and sweet love story! Full of personal details and DIY touches Kelsey & Marlon’s wedding told the personal story of their families and the love that they have for one another.
The bride put together the seating chart used for the wedding day!! Printed escort cards indexed by table were strung together with delicately soft pink ribbon and hung against a faux greenery backdrop. A two-tier cream colored wedding cake with a basketball-themed cake topper was baked by the bride’s sister, nieces and nephews filled the rolls of ring bearers and flower girls, and both mom’s and the groom’s grandmother walked the bride and groom down the aisle!
Our bride and groom added a unique spin on their wedding day guest book by having guests sign a Wilson basketball!!
…..One of their favorite games to play together is a basketball game called “Knock Out”, a game Kelsey & her father came up with and used to play throughout her life. He passed away in 2011 and this special activity lives on through Kelsey & Marlon. While in Las Vegas for a volleyball tournament, Marlon decided to bring Kelsey’s father’s basketballs for a destination game of knock out where he proposed in the middle of the court! – Paul Douda Photography
DIY touches collide with the San Diego skyline in this modern day wedding!! The reception seating included acrylic chairs for the guests decorated with hanging greenery and white florals; the aisle was blanketed with white rose petals for the bride’s grand entrance. After Kelsey & Marlon met at the altar they said their vows in front of a chic wall of hanging white tiger lilies!
