Leeann and Charlie’s wedding at Skyline Loft Chicago at Bridgeport Art Center is bright, bold, and full of fun personal touches!

The bride had always dreamed of planning a wedding that was bright and bold and dripping with rich full colors, with one important caveat, it had to be overlooking the Chicago skyline! Another big component that was worked into the theme of their wedding day design was trains!

The groom is an avid train watcher and their proposal story even included a banner that was fixed to a moving train. Their proposal all happened when the groom affixed a banner on the side of the baggage car of the Hoosier State train running from Indianapolis to Chicago that said, “Leeann, will you marry me?” The couple also included a nod to trains into their wedding day decor by naming their tables after Amtrak routes and displaying a custom sign at their wedding day that read ‘Leeann and Charlie Make the Hich‘, with their wedding day inscribed below.

All of the fun and personal illustrations for the bride and grooms wedding day at Skyline Loft in Chicago were created by the groom’s cousin, who is a talented illustrator.  He created the Amtrak route names used as markers at each table, the invitations, and the menus!

When it came to wedding day eats, the couple set up individual catering stations for their guests. The stations included Mexican street food, Southern cuisine, and veggie dishes. All of the dishes were carefully chosen and reflect the couples tastes in sourcing locally, eating healthy and drawing on the tastes of the season! The couple even created a fun signature drink to serve their guests, a spicy margarita to enjoy alongside all of the other delectable eats!
